Happy Monday everyone!
I’m excited because I kicked off half marathon training last week and it’s nice to get back to a running routine! I’m training for a my first ever trail half marathon so I’ll be running a lot more trails, but not a lot else will change. I already have a really solid base as I have been running 10-12 miles every weekend with my running group.
As I just came off two back to back marathon training cycles, I’ll be putting a lot less pressure on this race and not putting it as a #1 priority. My family definitely makes sacrifices for me to train for races and I need to be putting them at the top of my list this fall. Now that doesn’t mean I won’t be getting in some decent mileage, but I more runs may be replaced by cross training or may be simply skipped in favor of family stuff.
On to the topic of this blog post! I’m excited to announced my next free bootcamp! My 10 day bootcamps back in March and April were a major hit and I’m bringing it back, with a few changes. I’m co-hosting this group with another one of my coaches, Mikki, and we’re really excited to bring some new enthusiasm to it!
With this free bootcamp, you’ll get a preview of Beachbody on Demand workouts for free and a full schedule of 7 workouts that will kick your butt and be a ton of fun! These workouts are great for beginners as well as someone looking for more of a challenge and if you’re a runner, we can work together to modify it a little so that you can still get in all your scheduled runs (or just take me up on the challenge and do them all on top of your runs!). The workouts will all be 30 minutes or less.
We’ll also provide some nutrition advice and free healthy summer and BBQ recipes, but you are not required to follow a nutrition plan to participate.
The bootcamp will start August 21st and include daily accountability and lots of fun!
Free 7 Day Boot Camp – August 21
You’ll sample 7 different programs during this bootcamp. The schedule tentatively looks like this:
Monday: Agility training workout (Shift Shop!)
Tuesday: Upper body strength workout
Wednesday: Pilates/yoga inspired workout
Thursday: Lower body strength workout
Saturday: High intensity cardio (sub out for your long run if you’re a runner)
Sunday: Body weight full body strengthening workout
We’ll also include a few optional ab workouts that you can try out.
To complete the workouts above, you’ll need 1-2 sets of weights (5s and 10s or 8s and 12s), but if you absolutely don’t have them, I can help modify the program to exclude them (there are plenty of workouts without weights but some of my all time favorites have them). Or, simply borrow some weights from a friend who has let theirs gather dust. It’s just one week!
