I spent a lot of my life exercising in the pursuit of calorie burn to achieve a certain body type that I thought would make me happy. Everything changed for me when I discovered P90X and became serious about running in 2011. Prior to this I had low self esteem, was constantly yo-yo dieting and spent hours at the gym only to negate my hard work with unhealthy eating and drinking habits.
P90X turned on a fire inside me that has continued to burn for years. Since changing my life and my body with P90X, I’ve gone on to complete multiple marathons, half marathons, triathlons and even an Ironman. These are things that I never thought that I was capable of as I’ve always enjoyed fitness and sport but never considered myself an athlete. Now I know I’m an athlete and I’m proud of how my body looks and more importantly, what I can do with it.
When I got pregnant in 2015 and began to gain weight, I worried at times that my old self was going to come back and get comfortable. But, after giving birth, I used the healthy eating habits I had formed, along with P90X and 21 Day Fix, to get my body back.
Helping others achieve their goals is something that makes me incredibly happy. Becoming a Beachbody Coach seemed like a no-brainer considering how pivotal the programs they make have been in changing my life. I really believe in these programs. I KNOW they work, but I also know that accountability is what many people are lacking when they attempt to change their health on their own.
