Fit4Bachelorette Results!

photo (13)

After 4 weeks of (mostly) clean eating, lots of exercise and 3 days a week of Club Pilates, I am feeling leaner, more toned and bikini ready! I leave today for my bachelorette party in Vegas and I absolutely cannot wait to have a fun-filled weekend with 8 of my favorite people (plus in spirit with the two bridesmaids that could not come!). We’re staying at the Venetian and hitting up the pool party Saturday and Thunder Down Under on Saturday night but other than that, my BFF and MOH Asia has a lot of surprises in store for me!

My final results from my 4 week eat clean, limited alcohol diet combined with 3 days a week at Club Pilates and triathlon training resulted in:

  • 4 pounds lost
  • 1 inch off the waist
  • Ripped abs!

I went into this mini challenge a couple of pounds over my happy weight and came out a couple below it. I was most thrilled about how much definition I was able to add to my abs and I definitely attribute this to Club Pilates! Every single move in that class tones the core!

Unlike other attempts at losing weight fast I’ve tried in the past (ie cleanses) this weight loss was real. I don’t think I lost water weight – rather, I steadily dropped 1 pound a week for 4 weeks straight. I also added muscle for a more sculpted look. Although it took longer and required more dedication than a 3 or 5 day cleanse, the results are going to last much longer!

Here are some Before/After Photos (including the typical P90X flex shot, yes I can’t stop!)

I didn’t post a Week 3 or 4 recap so here are some of the high level stats:

Week 3 (Endurance Camp Week)

Week 3 = Triathlon Triathlon Triathlon!
Week 3 = Triathlon Triathlon Triathlon!
  • 3 Club Pilates Classes
  • 1 Yoga Class (at camp)
  • Two Swims (Endurance Camp Brick and Endurance Camp Master’s Swim)
  • 4 Runs, 20 Miles Total (Torrey Pines hill run, Endurance Camp Brick Speedwork, and 2 Endurance Camp hilly trail runs)
  • 3 Bike Rides (1 Trainer Ride, 1 Endurance Camp Brick, 1 long ride)
  • Total Time: 12 hours 30 minutes

Week 4 (Monday-Friday before Bachelorette)

Club Pilates Crazy Contraptions Work the Core
Club Pilates Crazy Contraptions Work the Core
  • 1 Hour Yoga (easy)
  • 1 Hour Strength Class at Crunch Fitness
  • 2 Club Pilates Classes
  • 55 min bike ride (~15 miles)
  • 3 Runs (1 Torrey Pines, 1 short mini tempo and 1 8.3 mile “long run”)
  • Total Time: 7 hours 20 minutes

I ate VERY clean this week leading up to my bachelorette with no dessert (except last night!) and all whole foods (including no bars). Last week at Endurance Camp I ate pretty healthy but did drink two nights and ate various snacks. I didn’t really worry about what I ate that weekend since we were working out so much.

If you are interested in doing some sort of 4 week program to get in shape for an event, let me know if you need any help! I think the key is consistency in workouts, diet and maybe most importantly, cutting out all or most alcohol. Not always the most fun but it works especially on belly fat. The icing on the cake for this 4 week program is that I feel even more fit and ready to do my best at the Solana Beach Triathlon next weekend! Let’s hope I don’t completely ruin it this weekend (although if I do, it’s worth it!).

Now it’s time to party! Vegas here we come!
