It’s here. 3 more days until I’m official a Mrs. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of errand running, crafting, meeting, organizing, calling, emailing and at times, stressing! BUT it’s all worth it because our wedding weekend begins on Friday. The weather forecast is showing a beautiful weekend with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s and plenty of sunshine. When the weekend ends, we’re headed off to Italy for 13 glorious days!
I’m taking off Thursday and Friday from work to get things done before the wedding so in total I’ll be away from work for 18 days. I haven’t taken much of a vacation this year and spent the first five months marathon training/wedding planning and the last 3 months wedding planning so needless to say a vacation sounds like heaven. We are heading to Lake Como first, then Cinque Terre, then wrapping it up by renting a car and making our way through Tuscany, sleeping in Lucca and Siena but also exploring other Tuscan hill towns along the way. The plan is to drink as much wine, eat as much pasta and gelato and sleep as much as possible (I will probably eat mostly vegetarian but not vegan on my trip and even may even throw in some meat when it sounds good). I may decide to blog about our trip while I’m there, but I may not. If I don’t, it’ll be quiet around here for a while but I hope you stay with me when I return!
Have you ever been to the places in Italy that we’re going? Any restaurant or activity recommendations?
I’ve been waiting for a final wedding post! Have an amazing weekend. The forecast sounds perfect!
And your honeymoon sounds incredible! Italy is number one list for places to visit in Europe for me, epsecially Cinque Terre.
I say take the time off from blogging and just enjoy and indulge!
Looking forward to hearing about everything when you come back as a Mrs!
Have an amazing wedding and honeymoon! And don’t blog about it unless its just for yourself to remember things you think you’ll forget otherwise. My SIM card got all messed up on our honeymoon in Hawaii and I’m so thankful it made me really disconnect from social media and anything aside from the camera. You’re going to be a beautiful bride. I’ll definitely be here when you get back and can’t wait to hear about it!!
AHH!!! So excited!! A MILLION pre-congrats! I cannot wait to see some pics and hear about it once you come back. Don’t worry, even with a 15 day break, your readers won’t forget about you! Have an absolutely divine time in Italy and enjoy every second of the process. Wohoo!
Congrats! When I stayed in Tuscany we made sure to find out the daily market schedule–it hits a different little village each day of the week. You can find some wonderful food and other sundries along with getting to experience village life. Your pension/hotel should have this info for the area that you are in. Have fun! 🙂
