No matter how much we love a workout, it will stop working if we keep doing the same thing over and over. That includes my true love, 21 Day Fix! Although I am excited to get back into 21 Day Fix at some point in the future, I love trying new workout programs. Beachbody comes out with about three new programs a year (and the good news is you can access all of them for one price with Beachbody on Demand) and the latest program looks like a really, really good one. I’m excited to commit to this program and go full force in my next challenge group on July 17th (and if you want to do 21 Day Fix for that challenge group, you’re more than welcome! We’ll have a mix of programs).
What is Shift Shop?
Shift Shop is the first program from the newest Super Trainer Chris Downing. He’s an elite functional fitness trainer who specializes in helping anyone — regardless of weight, size, or age — get into amazing shape fast.
Shift Shop is a ramp-up fitness program. You’ll start on the lower end of intensity (but still get a great workout!) and gradually increase the intensity of the cardio and strength-training workouts week by week — all while refining your nutrition. Despite how Chris Downing looks – trust me, ANYONE can do this program! It is customizable for beginners AND for people looking for a new challenge.
What Are The Shift Shop Workouts & Nutrition Plan Like?
Each week the workouts differ. There are five workouts per week with two rest days.
Week 1: Shorter, 25-minute workouts that’ll help you stay focused and committed. You’ll be eating a healthy balance of carbs, protein, and fat.
Week 2: Just as your body adapts to the workouts, Chris increases their length to 35 minutes. Plus, you’ll cut back on the starchy carbs, while revving up the proteins and veggies.
Week 3: It all comes together. Seven days of higher-intensity workouts, while eating clean. This is your grand finale. You’re going to feel and look great after this final week!
And there’s even a modifier you can follow, so you can always get through all the moves, and still get a great workout. I can also help you incorporate Shift Shop into your running routine. Because there are only five workouts per week and they are fairly short, it won’t be too hard!
Shift Shop Results
Beachbody always conducts “test groups” for the new programs and the results going out of the test groups were pretty amazing! People can lose up to 10 pounds and totally transform their body. I used to always be skeptical of Before and After photos, but after I submitted my P90X before and after photos to Beachbody and they used them and were super thorough in asking me to prove that they were legit, I totally believe them!
