Here I am – 38.5 weeks with pregnant with twins. Waiting on babies is giving me a little bit of anxiety but it’s outweighed by the fact that I know these girls are growing and developing inside me beautifully. We’ll meet them soon enough!
In the meantime, I have more time to blog! I’ve been asked about my favorite pregnancy products by countless pregnant women, pregnant with twins or not, and it’s finally time to share them! This post does contain Amazon affiliate links. Always consult your physician before taking on any workout program or taking any vitamins while pregnant.
Fitness Products for a Healthy Pregnancy
At this point in my twin pregnancy, my workouts are slowing way down. I’m trying to walk at least 1 mile a day and doing prenatal yoga a few times a week. I did my last strength training workout last week and I think that’ll be it as I don’t want to go into labor being too tired. Plus it just doesn’t sound great anymore! But before this, I was fortunate to feel really great – I was able to run until 30 weeks and I’ve been doing something active, whether it’s a prenatal yoga class, 30 minute strength training workout or a long walk (3-4 miles) nearly every day. I take more days off than I did prior to pregnancy but find that most days I had the energy and desire to do something active! Here are some of my favorite pregnancy products that got me through my active lifestyle.
Pregnancy Workout Pants

Cozy Orange ‘Juno’ Mesh Panel Maternity Leggings (or any Cozy Orange Maternity leggings). These are SO comfy and definitely worth the investment. I spent way too long trying to squeeze into my non-maternity leggings before embracing these. I was fortunate to have these given to me by a friend, but I definitely think they’re worth the price tag.
A Giant Water Bottle
Staying hydrated while pregnant is key! I try to drink 128 oz of water a day while pregnant with twins and I generally recommend 100 oz for women pregnant with one baby, but you’ll want to talk to your doctor about recommendations for your needs. I bought this 32 oz Embrava water bottle for pregnancy and also for postpartum. It holds 32 oz so you can keep it right next to you on the couch or wherever you’re nursing and not have to worry about filling it up often! You’ll want to drink a ton of water to keep up with the nursing demands of your babies or baby.
Pregnancy Belly Support Band

My pregnancy support belly band ended up being a life saver for me as my belly got heavier. With my first pregnancy, my belly wasn’t super large and I didn’t use it nearly as much. However, with this twin pregnancy, I starting using the band for nearly every run early on and I still use it for all walks if possible. I borrowed the belly band I use and it doesn’t have a tag so I can’t even tell you the name of it! However, this Cabea Baby Belly Band looks really similar.
Online Prenatal Workouts

I love Beachbody on Demand prenatal workouts. There is a 25-30 minute strength workout for each trimester and a yoga workout for each trimester. I did each of the workouts in every trimester so that I had more variety. I also continued doing several of my favorite 21 Day Fix, A Little Obsessed and Shift Shop workouts with modifications. Full disclosure: I am a Beachboy coach and if you use this link to sign up for your free 14 day trial of Beachbody on Demand I’ll be assigned your coach (you can reach out to me using this form with specific questions).
Yoga Blocks & Bolster
These yoga blocks and this yoga bolster come in handy not only for my prenatal yoga sessions but also for some of my strength training workouts in the second and third trimester that involved laying on my back (I actually own this bolster but I use this bolster in my prenatal yoga classes and prefer it). I was able to continue doing chest presses through the third trimester by propping myself up on the bolster using two yoga blocks. During prenatal yoga, it’s especially wonderful to have a bolster for positions like pigeon (which is an AMAZING stretch for pregnant women). I’ve actually always wanted a bolster and blocks at home for regular yoga so I put these on my Christmas list last year!
Twin Pregnancy Books
I decided not to follow Dr. Barbara Luke’s advice or read her book When You’re Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads 4th Edition: Proven Guidelines for a Healthy Multiple Pregnancy, though I did gain her recommended 24 pounds by 24 weeks. Dr. Luke has some extreme views on diet that she says will help you make it to full term with twins. I was advised by my doctor to simply eat when I was hungry and listen to my body and that’s just what I did and it worked!
The book I’ve found the most helpful for twins, particularly as it relates to breastfeeding, is Mothering Multiples: Breastfeeding and Caring for Twins or More!
Pregnancy Stretch Mark Prevention

Belly Oil
I religiously applied Belli Elasticity Belly Oil to my entire belly every night starting early on in pregnancy to help with itching and avoid stretch marks. So far I don’t have any but I’ve heard they can appear overnight!
Postpartum Products
Twin Breastfeeding Pillow
The only real “twin” product I got was the highly recommended My Brest Friend Twin Pillow. I plan to tandem nurse so it’ll be essential! I loved my Brest Friend original pillow for nursing my daughter so I went with the same brand this time.
Nipple Butter
Mama Earth Angel Nipple Butter
Lactation Pills
I plan to take these Vitanica – Lactation Blend – Nursing Support pills right away to encourage a solid milk production.
Other Pregnancy Products I Love

Pink Blush Maternity Clothing (they have sales every day so don’t ever pay full price)
Nordic Naturals – Prenatal DHA
Rainbow Light – Prenatal One Multivitamin
