Transform: 20 – Shaun T’s New Workout Program – Reserve Your Spot In Our Group Today

Shaun T, the creator of Insanity, Insanity Max:30 and T-25, hasn’t released a full length fitness program in years and in January 2019, his latest program, Transform: 20 will be here!!! I am personally a big fan of Shaun T – I love his high energy, positive attitude and all around awesome personality. His programs have been known to change people’s lives AND their bodies. I can’t tell you how many people tell me how much they love Shaun T (and I have a special place in my heart for him since he is a fellow twin parent!). I really fell in love with his workouts last year when I completed Shaun week and am excited to dive head first into Transform:20 in January!

When is Transform:20 Going to Be Released & How Can I Join A Transform:20 Challenge Group?

Transform:20 will be available on Beachbody on Demand via VIP Access only, starting January 14th, 2019. I will be hosting a Transform:20 ONLY challenge group on that date and the energy in this group will be super high as it’ll not only be January, but we’ll all be completing the same program together! Our private accountability groups are full of positive women (many of whom are moms and/or runners, but that’s not a requirement!) who support one another and you are 2-3X more likely to complete this program if you participate in an accountability group. What is Transform:20 ?

Transform:20 is a high intensity workout program from super trainer Shaun T that not only works your body, but your MIND! It is 6 weeks long, with 6 workouts per week. Each workout is ONLY 20 minutes long, but will be 20 minutes of jam-packed, non stop full body exercise that will challenge you and burn as many calories as longer workouts in Shaun T’s other programs (he said that himself!). Each workout will be different, meaning you get 36 unique workouts. Each week’s workouts will be released on BOD to VIP Access members one week at a time.

What Equipment Do I Need For Transform: 20?

The only equipment required is your body! But, the workouts also use an adjustable step. In every workout there is a modifier who does not use the step, but from my understanding, the program is meant to be completed with the step. And yes, you may be thinking what I first thought when I heard this – are we doing step aerobics? If you know Shaun T, you know the answer is no – he’s taking this step to the next level and using it to shape your body like never before! However, the step itself is basically the same one that women all over the world shimmied across in the 90s – so if you are skeptical when first hearing this news, believe me so was I. But after hearing Shaun T talk about it and watching the videos, I am going into this with an open mind and thinking of it as a new way to challenge my body. You can either get the Beachbody version of the step or purchase your own on Amazon (there are several challenge packs that include the step). If you’re going to get the Transform:20 step on Amazon, I recommend this one, as it is a 3 level adjustable step.

What are the Workouts Like in Transform:20?

Transform: 20’s 36 workouts are grouped into three phases or chapters, as Shaun T calls them:

Chapter 1:  Commit

Chapter 2: Climb

Chapter 3: Conquer

As you move through each chapter, you will not only transform your body, but you will strengthen your mindset and your belief in yourself. You’ll be doing lunges, squats, burpees, push-ups, core moves and more on the step and off of it.

The workouts follow a similar format, Monday- Saturday and Shaun T says you’ll gain momentum throughout the week before finishing with a lower key balance workout on Saturdays, followed by a rest day on Sundays.

None of these workouts require weights. There is a modifier who doesn’t use the step and a modifier who doesn’t go as quickly (you can split the screen if you’d like to see the slower modifier).

As with all Shaun T programs, you will be testing your progress each week to see how you’ve improved. Each workout contains three “transformers”, which is a move timed for a minute where you have to push yourself to complete as many reps as possible. You track these in the Transformation Trackers that come with the program.

Does Transform:20 Come With a Nutrition Plan?

Shaun T wants you to do what works best for you when it comes to nutrition. If the Beachbody portion fix works for you – that’s what you should follow. If you’re already doing 2B Mindset or want to try it – do that! I personally plan to follow the portion fix plan.

Transform:20 Weight Lifting & Bonus Workouts

If you have recently finished LIIFT4 or 80 Day Obsession, or just like weight training, Shaun T doesn’t want you to feel like you can’t get your weight lifting in. While not required, there are also optional strength training workouts included.

Will Transform:20 Work With Running?

I plan to run at least 3 days a week while doing Transform:20

You know me, I’m a runner. I really want to complete the entire program, all 36 workouts and I still plan to run along with it. Since the workouts are just 20 minutes, I think this will be do-able. Whether or not I’ll be including speed workouts with it, is going to depend on how I feel about the intensity of these workouts. In the past, I’ve found it hard to pair speed work with Shaun T programs – BUT due to the intensity of the workouts, I get a boost in my running without even doing any speed work! I’ll definitely write a post on how I plan to mix Transform: 20 with running once the workout calendar is released and I understand more about the workouts.
