Super Trainer Shaun T of Insanity has created his first weight lifting program for BODi called Dig Deeper! In this blog post, you’ll learn all about Dig Deeper so you can decide if it’s the right program for you.
What is BODi’s Dig Deeper Like?
If you’re up for a challenge and truly want to transform, I highly recommend Shaun T’s Dig Deeper program.
I was part of the Dig Deeper test group and have completed Collection 1. Dig Deeper is unlike any other of Shaun T’s high intensity cardio workout programs. Dig Deeper is a body building and weight lifting program that is designed to help you build and sculpt muscles and there is NO cardio.
DIG DEEPER PROGRAM INFORMATION (from BODi FAQ).
- Program Length: 12 weeks (3 Collections that are 4 weeks each)
- Workouts per Week: 5-6 workouts
- Workout Length: 40-50 minutes (except for steady state cardio which is 30 minutes, and the 4th “No Excuses” Collection which are under 25 minute workouts)
- Equipment Needed: Variety of Dumbbells (heavy), Adjustable Bench (here’s an affordable bench I recommend that folds for easy storage)
Shaun T does a great job of giving proper form cues in the program so that even a beginner could theoretically do this program. However, the workouts themselves are demanding – they are longer workouts with little rest.

My Opinion of Dig Deeper
I was part of the BODi partner test group for Phase 1 of Dig Deeper and I LOVED it. I can’t wait to do the full program after I finish marathon training.
I’ll do a post on my thoughts for Dig Deeper for runners soon but to sum it up: I believe Dig Deeper is a great off season program for runners.

My Dig Deeper Collection 1 Results
I did a modified version of Dig Deeper while half marathon/50K ultra marathon training. I did not follow a nutrition program but tried to make better choices. I really found I was VERY hungry while running and doing Dig Deeper. I will do another post on running and Shaun T’s Dig Deeper, but I have to say – I am SO curious to see how I’ll transform once I do this full program!!
Shaun T Dig Deeper Results and Before and After Photos
The before and after photos that came out of Shaun T’s Dig Deeper blew my mind!!!!! This is the type of program that will get results as dramatic as P90X, the program that made Beachbody famous, if you really commit to it. The weight loss is highlighted on the graphic but truly it’s the MUSCLE gain that I’m looking at! Incredible!
