All You Need to Know About BODi’s Belle Vitale Program (And Should Runners Do It?)

Autumn Calabrese’s new Belle Vitale hormone program is coming out on December 10th and if you’re a runner, you may be wondering if this program can work for you.

Belle Vitale is NOW on sale in the United State and you can purchase your Belle Vitale kit here.

In this post, I’ll give my opinion on whether Belle Vitale is good for runners based on my experience as a run coach and with 8 years of experience helping runners combine BODi programs with running. I am no longer a BODi Partner/Coach but I am still an affiliate & use the programs personally & along with my run coaching.

What is Belle Vitale?

Belle Vitale is a 3 month comprehensive hormone program that includes nutriton, stress management, supplementation and workouts. While weight loss is often a result of following Belle Vitale, the goal of the program is to help you balance your hormones using lifestyle and supplementation. It is advisable to work with a doctor if you are concerned that you have a problem with your hormones.

This video is the best summary of what Belle Vitale is all about and how it can help you.

According to BODi: Working with a team of doctors and experts, Autumn learned that by integrating various lifestyle adjustments, such as nutrition, supplements, exercise, and stress management, a complete, comprehensive program is key to reclaiming vitality and balance.

Is Belle Vitale a workout program or nutriton program or both?

There are actually 4 components of Belle Vitale, which work together:

  1. Belle Vitale Workouts. A combination of pilates and heavy strength training using a new piece of equipment that mimics reformer pillates.
  2. Belle Vitale 3 Phase Nutrition Program.
  3. Belle Vitale Supplements.
  4. Belle Vitale Stress Reduction. As chronic stress has a proven impact on hormone health, the program includes stress relieving breath work.

What Results Are People Getting from Belle Vitale?

The test group results were pretty incredible. Not only from a physical standpoint, but many talking about changes in energy, sleep, libido, and more.

My good friend Kim was part of the Belle Vitale test group and I watched her transform doing the 3 months she did the program. After it ended, she had completely changed her habits and has kept many of them and has kept all her weight off.

If you’re wondering if Belle Vitale can help women who have already gone through menopause, see Kat’s results below – Kat is 57.

How Much Does Belle Vitale Cost & What is Included?

Belle Vitale costs $300. Watch Autumn Calabrese’s Instagram reel to see what comes in the box.

The $300 Belle Vitale Package includes (according to Autumn’s reel)

Should Runners Do Belle Vitale?

The short answer: if you are a runner suffering from severe symptoms that may be related to hormones, & you need to find a solution, I think Belle Vitale would be a fit for you.

If you are just trying to lose weight, then no, I would not do Belle Vitale.

Could You Train for a Half Marathon or Marathon while Doing Belle Vitale?

If you do Belle Vitale, you will be making pretty dramatic changes to your nutrition & lifestyle and I would not recommend training for a marathon or even a half marathon during this time. The program also includes intermittent fasting, which I do NOT recommend for runners, especially runners who do early morning runs.

If you do train for a marathon or half marathon while doing Belle Vitale, you will acknowledge that the nutriton program comes FIRST and that your running performance may be impacted negatively in the short term. I have not done the program or read the materials yet (since I am writing this before it has been released) , but from what I know about it from talks with members of the coach test group, the nutrition program won’t have enough carbs to support high volume training. Plus, the program isn’t intended to be combined with a lot of cardio. That may impact how your hormones respond.

I am NOT a doctor (and neither is Autumn, though doctors were consulted to create the program) – you should consult with your doctor to decide if this program is for you.

What Are Common Symptoms of Hormone Imbalance? (Source)

Hormone imbalance manifests in various ways, and can affect women of all ages. Common symptoms that may indicate a hormone imbalance include:

  • Difficulty shedding pounds or unexplained weight gain
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Brain fog and difficulties with focus, impacting productivity and overall well-being
  • Mood swings, bloating, cravings
  • Hot flashes and night sweats

The good news is that you can do something about these symptoms. Belle Vitale is about helping put you back in control so that you can get back to feeling like yourself again.

What If I’m a Runner Who Wants to Lose Weight or Run Faster?

If you aren’t having the symptoms above but you are a runner who wants to lose weight, I would recommend joining my Run Fueled & Faster community instead of doing Belle Vitale. I have created Run Fueled & Faster based on 8 years of experience working with runners to help them lose weight as well as my certifications as a run coach. It is based on flexible, whole food nutrition that includes your favorite foods.

I recognize that while you might know WHAT to do to eat healthy, actually doing it 24/7, 365 days a year is quite another thing. You need ongoing support and motivation & monthly challenges to get you re-engaged and focused on improving one area at a time! That’s why I created the Fueled & Faster community – a place where female runners can get support & guidance to eat healthier, get stronger and run faster.

The whole foods nutrition approach I teach along with run fueling guidance in Run Fueled & Faster is what I used to lose 12 pounds in 2024 and keep it off, while still enjoying balance & running faster.

In January 2025, I’ll be hosting the first “fueled” challenge in our community which will be weight loss and nutrition focused. You can join now for the founding member price of only $35.

And if you’re training for a half marathon or full marathon in 2025, consider joining my Run Strong Training Club! This combines strength (from BODi or whatever you use) with a custom training plan, guidance on fueling your training, support from 2 RRCA run coaches and a community of women training for the same distance race as you! Learn more about Run Strong here. I also offer 1:1 run coaching.

Whatever you decide, do what feels best for YOU!!! If you have any questions about Belle Vitale or anything running related please reach out to me at fitnessfataleblog@gmail.com.
